The Northland Symphony Orchestra was established in 1967 by a small group of musicians in the Kansas City metro area. Their goal was to provide accessible, quality music performances to the public while creating opportunities for professional, student and community musicians to perform together. The Northland Symphony Orchestra performs five free concerts per season featuring a wide variety of music.
Our performances are always free and open to the public. We look forward to seeing you at our next performance!

Thank you for your interest in joining the Northland Symphony Orchestra! We do not have any current openings, but we keep a list of those interested in joining. We often need substitute players for a concert, and this is a great opportunity for you to get to know the orchestra. To join our list of prospective players, please click the button below to submit our interest form. When a temporary or permanent position in the orchestra arises, our Music Director will work through this list and reach out to see if you’re still interested and available.
Our orchestras could not exist without your generous donations. Every single dollar makes a difference and helps us achieve our mission.
